Welcome and Namaste!
Thank you for visiting my website. I'm so happy that I get a chance to introduce myself to you.
My journey into the holistic field began in my native country India when I was still in my high school years. I was always drawn to the aesthetics and the healing modalities of Ayurvedic body therapies, lifestyle, daily rituals, herbs and Ayurveda’s tremendous capacity to bring our mind and body back to balance while restoring the spiritual connection between the soul and the divine. Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing that has its origins in the Vedic culture of India and is based on the five great elements- Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth.
While I was in graduate school to earn my Masters in English Literature at the University of Agra in India and later during my 2nd Masters in Creative writing at Fairleigh Dickinson University in NJ, I came to realize that literature is filled with stories of mental and physical dilemmas, leading to various disturbances in our physiology and psyche. The question during research and writing would often come to me about how we can reduce these dilemmas, disorders, diseases that the majority of us live with? I began to search for more answers to understand the causes of miseries, helplessness and the path/s to wellness as nature had intended.
As a result, I decided to study Ayurveda in-depth and its related body therapies such as Reflexology and the Head Massage modalities. Besides being a wellness consultant, a coach and a therapist, I am also an accomplished Ayurvedic vegetarian cook. I can say with confidence that Ayurvedic lifestyle has made a profound impact on my own health including my friends & family members as well as my clients. I believe that there’s always plenty of time to learn and turn things around. If the will power is there you can really TRANSFORM your lifestyle tomorrow starting today!
My lineage for Ayurveda comes from my family in India, Kerela Ayurveda Academy USA and American Vedic Institute of New Mexico. I will always be indebted to my parents, my ancestors and teachers who have been inspirational/ instrumental and a guiding light in all aspects of my growth. It is my mission to help you on your journey to increase happiness and peace, to improve self awareness, increase self-care, and provide the tools to open the divine healing potential that is inside of you. Ayurveda is one of the surest ways to find this inner connection and empower ourselves with the vitality and clarity we need to live a purposeful and fulfilling life.
The Birth of Green Tulip Health & Wellness:
Some of you may wonder why I chose the name Green Tulip Health & Wellness for my holistic business. My decision for this particular name was spontaneous as I was looking for a name that everyone could connect to as a part of their own self realization. Green is the color of our planet, growth and new beginnings. Most of us are seeking Mother Nature's guidance to be the primary force for healing our mind, body & spirit. In the yogic tradition, it's also the color of the heart chakra known as Anahata which is the door of our inner temple, an infinite part of our selves as it helps us to look within. It's where transformation begins.
The flower of Tulip reflects the need to keep our feet on the ground and to have trust in our own efforts and intuitions. It reflects spring, it reflects love. Therefore, it reflects life.
